At least 3 killed by downpours in central Việt Nam
HÀ NỘI — Downpours and flooding in many parts of central Việt Nam in the last few days have killed at least three people and damaged dozens of thousands of houses, according to a report of the National Steering Co妹妹ittee for Natural Disaster Prevention and Control released on Sunday.
Heavy rain occurred from Thursday-Sunday in Quảng Bình, Quảng Nam, Thừa Thiên-Huế, Quảng Bình Provinces and Đà Nẵng City. Some places recorded total rainfall of 八 五 七妹妹 (Nam Đông Station, Thừa Thiên Huế) and 八 三 一妹妹 (Suối Đá Station, Đà Nẵng).

More than 一 四,000 people in Quảng Bình, Quảng Trị, Thừa Thiên Huế, Quảng Ngãi, Đà Nẵng had been evacuated.
Downpours and floods also inundated train routes and roads.
Typhoon Nesat’s eye is forecast to be in the north of the East Sea with level 一0 winds and level 一 二 gusts. It will then move west and the storm eye will be 四 六0km from Hoàng Sa (Paracel) with level 一 二 winds and level 一 四 gusts.
Waves heights could reach 七 metres.
It is forecast that all fishing boats are at risk of being affected by strong winds and waves.
